The way we teach English is changing as we are .
We have changed the methodology, the resources, the realia, the tools....
But sometimes we think we haven't got enough to share with students and we feel frustated. As far as I know, the material amount is so huge we canNot organize it in a right way and we are repeating the same thing everytime.

I decided to elaborate individual glogsters in order to show their own work in a funnny way.

HUMAN RIGHTS

I talked you about our work on CITIZENSHIP this year.
The first term was about ME AND MYSELF
The Second term was about MY COMMUNITY: school, town...
The third one was about THE SOCIETY, and we have been working specially on HUMAN RIGHTS.
As the aim was so difficult to understand for them, we organized it in this way:
* Game: READING-RUNNING: I gave them the 30 rights in 3 languages (Basque, Spanish and English) and ,in couples, they had to read and copy them in a Power Point .
* Each language had a colour (the same as in the Portfolio, I mean English is green, Basque is red and Spanish is blue).
* We collected all of them and elaborated the final PPT.
* PRESENTATION: We used the Interactive Whiteboard and read the HUMAN RIGHTS.
* The classroom helper handed the copies out.

I think it can be quite useful with students in 3rd cycle.

LET'S PLAY!!!

When we are planning the lessons, we usually choose the most dynamic song, the most interesting story, the most attractive activities, the easiest evaluating system in order to take part all of them... But we usually forget that "left time" when they are involved in daily routines and they want to change them and do different things.
Then, the best we can do is to add a funny and easy GAME

Sometimes, when we are full of ICT problems, troubles, programmes, .. and we have some minutes just to Enjoy reading about deal with our main aim, I mean HOW TO TEACH and great resources to IMPROVE THE MOTIVATION in our children,... we can have a look and reflect on this article..
It includes a sample lesson plan, and many references and resources for teachers to research on their own.

CAN YOU HEAR THAT PPT?

We usually used to have problems with the PPTs because we couldn't upload them with the audio included.
But, Zaloa told us the right way and now, we know it.
I'll try it next time with our presentations.
By the way, there must be another way, too. We can use slideshare but then, use the SLIDECAST option in order to upload a MP3 and add it.

EASTER 2010

Hi everyone,
How are you? Fine?
We are on holidays and I think it is a great opportunity to use all we have learnt in our English classes; British people travel to the Basque Country and we also travel away.
Apart from that, students from primary 6 have to write a postcard and take it to school after holidays. I'll become the postwoman and share them.
I have written another one for them.

Hi kids,
Have your written your postcard? Remember you have to give it to me on the 12th April, I mean, the first day after Easter holidays.
That's why I have decided to write this short card to you as well.
Have you ever been in Benidorm? It is a big town in the Mediterranean coast-side. I like it because
it's got a great beach and the weather it's warm and sunny. Yesterday we went for a walk and we met Amaia Odriozola. What a surprise!
There are high buildings and a lot of people in the streets. You can improve your English talking with the foreigners.
So, we will meet again after holidays and I will tell you the end of these fabulous funny days.
